Real Estate Attorney - Construction, Planning & Development

Join Our Team as a Construction Real Estate Lawyer at Axiom

We are currently working with a global leader in advanced battery manufacturing and energy storage solutions, and we are seeking a Construction Attorney. This role requires the ability to work an on‑site schedule in De Soto, Kansas.

• Advising construction companies on construction development/transactional issues.
• Experience with construction matters, real property leases, and construction‑related agreements.
• Working knowledge of claims management and dispute resolution.
• Working with and advising corporate clients directly regarding construction matters.
• Drafting and negotiating construction documents, including AIA contracts and FIDIC contracts.
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.

• 5+ years of experience as a construction lawyer, focusing on construction law, contract negotiation, and project development.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, real estate law, zoning regulations, and environmental laws.
• Strong drafting skills – clear, concise, precise, and accurate.
• Systems thinker with the ability to understand how discrete issues impact the broader project.
• Proven experience managing construction‑related disputes and litigation.
• Complex commercial real estate experience is a plus, including real estate finance, leasing, and acquisitions and sales.
• Experience working independently and cross‑functionally and taking on complex projects.
• Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you currently reside.

The estimated total compensation for full‑time Axiom attorney roles is $114,000–250,000 per year and for non‑attorney roles is $64,000–201,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
