Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is partnering with a dynamic law firm to recruit a Immigration Attorneys to appear for Master Hearings. This is a part-time (sporadic), indefinite contract opportunity.
Position Details

- Hours: as-needed
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Compensation: $55/hr
Position Description
- Client is seeking attorneys to appear and represent clients for Master Calendar Hearings in Immigration Court.
- Role will be assignment based, sporadic, and dependent on Immigration Court scheduling.
- Each assignment is expected to be around 5 hours, including case review, hearing, and post-hearing debrief.
- Candidates will receive a 1.5 hour training with the firm.
Candidate Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school and an active membership in good standing of any state bar is required.
- Basic knowledge of immigration law required.
- Prior experience practicing immigration law in court preferred.
- Can be either experience with USCIS (affirmative cases) or EOIR/Immigration Court (defensive cases).
- Background in mock trial, moot court, depositions, and/or litigation preferred.
- Ability to work with clients to talk through difficult experiences and keep client focused on key facts required.
- Experience using a case management software system preferred.
- EOIR number required.
- Ability to follow processes and work efficiently.
- Ability to follow detailed directions.
- Bilingual with Spanish preferred
- Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management - Drop Box, Email - MS Outlook) required.
