Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC, a litigation defense firm with over 200 employees, has an opportunity for an associate attorney with 0 – 4 years of experience and a strong interest in litigation defense.
Candidates must be licensed in Missouri, have excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage file throughout litigation process independently and as a part of the team.
- Conduct fact investigations.
- Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
- Prepare witnesses for deposition.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
- Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Court hearing preparation and attendance.
- Trial preparation and attendance.
