In this hands-on leadership position, you'll lead a team of Yard Coordinators while helping keep our equipment yard running smoothly and safely.
Job Duties- Direct the daily activities of yard coordinators, including the assignment of duties to employees, assisting in scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations.
- Monitor employee compliance with both federal and company quality and safety requirements, take immediate corrective actions when non-compliance occurs.
- Train Yard Coordinators to identify yard and equipment maintenance needs; initiate the repair process as needed.
- Perform weekly inventory audits for all sales and rental assets, including sales and rental attachments (i.e. buckets, snow plows, etc).
- Manage shipping and receiving process for assigned location. Recommend changes as needed.
- Assist customers with inquires on product and machine operations.
- Manage fuel process and reporting for assigned locations.
- Maintain the yard organization and upkeep as defined by management.
- Support the Yard Coordinator employees by assisting with all aspects of preparing equipment for sale/rental and the return inspection and reporting process.
- Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with managers, employees, and customers.
- Basic repair and diagnostic experience with equipment.
- Working knowledge of Cat and Allied equipment and how equipment is operated.
- Exceptional employee management skills and motivation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Ability to drive and valid driver’s license required.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Prior experience in the construction, agricultural, automotive, or related industry.

This role involves active, hands-on work in a yard and equipment environment. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
- Occasional lifting of heavier items up to 75 pounds
- Regular lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds
- Standing and walking continuously throughout the workday, with occasional sitting
- Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching at various heights
- Pushing and pulling equipment or materials with varying levels of force
- Climbing on and off equipment or raised surfaces and maintaining balance while doing so
- Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling, and fine motor coordination
- Maintaining full range of motion, including neck and trunk movement and rotation
- Performing tasks requiring coordination of hands and feet
- Working with and around heavy equipment in an outdoor yard environment
- Operating tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Occasional travel for business purposes, as needed
- Work is performed both outdoors and indoors, with the majority of time spent in an outdoor yard environment
- Indoor work may occur in warehouse areas that are not climate-controlled
- Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation
- Potential exposure to fuels and chemicals such as gasoline, diesel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents
- Noise levels are typically moderate
- Travel may involve working in different climates and environmental conditions
