Job Details

The Custodian I performs general cleaning tasks within University buildings.

Full Time Position Monday - Friday 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Our nationally recognized compensation package features an hourly rate of $18.94 along with a comprehensive benefits program.

• Performs cleaning functions including dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, gathers and disposes trash, washes walls, vents, windows, fixtures, etc.
• Cleans restrooms using germicide solution for control of bacteria and odors, polishes fixtures, replaces disposables such as toilet tissues, paper towels and fills soap dispensers.
• Represents department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.

• Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions.
• Cleaning/custodial experience preferred.
• Must have manual ability to perform general cleaning, which may include moving furniture.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
