Job Description:

The Custodian I performs general cleaning tasks within University buildings.  Full Time Position Monday - Friday 4:00AM - 12:30PM.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Our nationally recognized compensation package features an hourly rate of $18.94 along with a comprehensive benefits program.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

***** Performs cleaning functions including dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, gathers and disposes trash, washes walls, vents, windows, fixtures, etc.
* Cleans restrooms using germicide solution for control of bacteria and odors, polishes fixtures, replaces disposables such as toilet tissues, paper towels and fills soap dispensers
* Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations
* Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organization

* Qualifications:

***** Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions
* Cleaning/custodial experience preferred
* Must have manual ability to perform general cleaning, which may include moving furniture
* Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
