E. 210 Highway. 3rd shift – 9:00 pm to 7:30 am Monday through Thursday.

Compensation

This position is hourly. Base pay range: $28.23–$42.31 per hour.

Position Overview

We’re searching for a highly experienced Facilities Technician for 3rd shift – 9:00 pm to 7:30 am Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks and routine repairs on automated material handling system components to support distribution center goals.
  • Report to a Facilities Supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE, sortation and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, hardware, and software).
  • Basic troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors, linear motors, VFDs, encoders, scanners, power distribution, communication systems, computer‑controlled building systems, conveyor systems and CMMS.
  • Act as subject matter expert for conveyors, cross‑belt system, Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person System.
  • Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the distribution center.
  • Work at heights and in unusual positions.
  • Available for a 24‑hour on‑call rotation.
  • Apply safe work practices, lockout/tagout (LOTO) standards and Arc Flash.
  • Follow codes such as NEC, BOCA and UBC, MSDS and OSHA.
  • Design, implement and document PLC programming changes to automated equipment when authorized.
  • Troubleshoot and implement changes to I/O device networks such as Probus, Data Highway and Can Bus.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with at least two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
  • 2+ years experience with AC drives (set‑up, programming, faults).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CMMS programs.
  • Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits, electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings and schematics.
  • Can frequently lift, push and slide packages typically weighing 50–75 lb.
  • Successful completion of maintenance skill evaluation.
