Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the hands‑on maintenance and upkeep of the Kansas City Hospice House's interior and exterior systems, including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, structures and grounds. In addition, is responsible for the fire drills and maintaining paperwork for other regulatory requirements. The position is also responsible for assisting with maintenance at other locations, as needed .
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Training in electrical/mechanical/technical building systems and equipment preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year relevant work experience with knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment used in custodial and building
maintenance activities required. - The ability to troubleshoot and resolve various electrical,plumbing, custodial and building maintenance issues/problems required.
- Prior facility management, purchasing and housekeeping supervision preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Google applications preferred.
