Accounting Manager

Chief of Staff KC is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a trusted client in the Kansas City Metro area.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closes
• Manage producer ledger accounting, including related payments and reporting
• Supervise treasury functions such as banking software administration and cash management
• Oversee vendor relationships and expense payment processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company financial policies
• Stay up to date on evolving accounting standards, tax laws, and industry changes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities and multi-entity management
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment, including extended hours during peak periods
