You will be part of our Shipping and Receiving Materials Handling team, collaborating closely with buyers and production leaders to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of materials throughout the plant. You will also work with Quality, Inventory control and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, resolve Shipping and Receiving issues and support inventory accuracy.

As a materials handler you will be a key link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and components for the production and remanufacturing of railroad equipment. You will help us keep a safe, clean and organized work environment using a 5s approach, ensure accurate and timely receiving, storage and delivery of parts and materials, and support the production team by delivering materials to the correct locations and resolving inventory and shipping discrepancies.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements (to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily).

• Preferred:
  High school diploma or GED or associate degree or technical certificate in logistics, supply chain or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within manufacturing – railroad, aerospace or automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Oracle or other ERP systems required.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving systems is a plus (Fed Ex, UPS, XPO, etc.).
• Forklift and pallet jack experience is preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents, bills and inventory reports.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Receive, inspect and document incoming shipments.
• Perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records.
• Pull, pack and stage materials and customer orders for shipment.
• Process shipping and receiving labels and documentation for Fed Ex, UPS, LTL, and freight carriers.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other materials handler equipment.
• Deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner.
• Perform necessary ERP transactions in Oracle.
• Support other materials‑handling functions as needed to meet production and shipping deadlines.
• Provide production departments with material needed or requested in a timely and organized manner.
• Unload customer material from crates, pallets and other shipping containers.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
• Perform equipment inspections and follow our 2‑minute warning as part of our safety procedures.
• Other tasks might be assigned as needed.

• Employees are required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Employees are required to walk, stand, bend and lift throughout the day.
• Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, including full shifts.
• Position requires the employee to be on site during the scheduled shift to perform daily duties.

• Work is performed in non‑temperature‑controlled production facilities, with exposure to varying temperatures and other environmental factors.
