Summary:

Rensenhouse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Technician to support our value-add manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for building, wiring, modifying, and testing industrial control panels and sub-assemblies according to engineered drawings and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands electrical fundamentals, and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment where precision and quality matter.

Reports to:

Foreman

Minimum Qualifications
  • Formal electrical training
  • Previous experience wiring electrical products
  • Ability to read and understand both ladder-style and open-face electrical schematics
  • Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NEC & UL codes
Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a shop environment with occasional travel to customer locations to provide service on panel shop products. You will work around electricity and other potential hazards requiring appropriate safety equipment and practices at all times.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions
  • Safely operate electrical related hand tools and small power tools
  • Use safe work practices when working with energized panels during testing
  • Modify enclosures and back panels per cutout drawings
  • Modify parameters/settings of automation products used in industrial control panels
  • Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues during panel testing
  • Effectively use electrical test equipment such as VOM and Current meters
  • Maintain a sharp attention to details to ensure complete and accurate panel assemblies
