Salary: $35 - $40/hr
Shift: 3:30PM - Midnight + consistent OT
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced CNC Mill Lead to support precision machining operations in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and leadership-oriented, with responsibility for CNC programming, setup, quality, and mentoring machinists. Ideal candidates bring strong Mastercam expertise, 5-axis experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and develop CNC milling operations using Mastercam (3-, 4-, and 5-axis)
- Set up and optimize vertical and horizontal milling centers using Fanuc controls
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs for efficiency and quality
- Lead and train machinists on setups, processes, and best practices
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience with Mastercam, including 5-axis work
- Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances
- Knowledge of metal properties, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and manage multiple priorities
- Dependable, self-motivated professional open to overtime or weekend work as needed
