Job Description & How to Apply Below

AES Manufacturing is looking for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator who can do more than just
run a bead. We want someone who can read a print, fit and fabricate parts, solve problems, and take
work from raw components to a quality welded assembly. AES builds safety products that help protect
workers, so the quality of the weld and the accuracy of the finished assembly both matter.

What You Will Do
  • Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials used in AES products as required.
  • Read fabrication drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and sketches.
  • Measure, lay out, fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish fabricated assemblies.
  • Use fixtures, jigs, saws, grinders, hand tools, and other approved fabrication equipment safely.
  • Build repeat-production and custom fabricated components.
  • Inspect your own work for weld quality, fit, dimensions, and overall workmanship.
  • Troubleshoot fit-up, distortion, sequence, and fabrication problems.
  • Support robotic welding, fixture work, or other fabrication functions when qualified and needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and meet production expectations without sacrificing quality
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong MIG welding and metal fabrication ability.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to measure accurately, fit assemblies, and work independently after understanding the job.
  • Consistent weld quality and ownership of the finished product.
  • Practical problem-solving ability and willingness to accept feedback.
  • Reliable attendance and safe work habits.
Experience That Helps
  • Two or more years of welding/fabrication experience preferred, or equivalent demonstrated ability.
  • Custom fabrication and fit-up experience.
  • TIG welding, stainless steel, fixtures, jigs, or robotic welding experience.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
What AES Offers
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Additional company-paid and voluntary benefits according to current AES plan terms.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Full-time, year-round manufacturing work.
  • Opportunities to cross-train and grow into higher-skill manufacturing roles.
Career Growth

Strong welders can progress into advanced fabrication, robotic welding, senior welder/fabricator, training, fixture development, quality, or lead responsibilities based on demonstrated skill and business need.

How We Hire

Years of experience help, but they are not everything. Qualified candidates will tour AES and complete a practical welding/fabrication skills assessment.
