Overview
The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum seeks a Marketing Coordinator to support and execute internal and external communications and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has experience coordinating marketing materials, managing projects across teams, and working with external vendors. Project management experience is required; graphic design experience is a plus.
Located on the campus of the Jewish Community Center in Creve Coeur, the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum is dedicated to using the history and lessons of the Holocaust to reject hatred, promote understanding, and inspire change. The Museum is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We offer a flexible work schedule and a collaborative team environment.
Schedule:
This role may be filled as full‑time or part‑time, depending on candidate availability and organizational needs.
- Strategic Marketing & Brand Stewardship – Monitor and maintain consistency in visual identity and messaging across all platforms;
Implement updates to branding, visuals, and messaging as directed. - Campaigns & Content – Support marketing efforts for major fundraising and community engagement initiatives;
Coordinate production of brochures, digital assets, email marketing, and annual reports. - Digital Strategy & Web – Assemble, schedule, and distribute the IMPACT newsletter and e‑blasts;
Monitor digital analytics and implement SEO and performance improvements as directed;
Assist with and provide backup support for social media and website updates. - Collaboration & Project Management – Work cross‑departmentally to support Development, Events, and Education teams;
Serve as project manager for marketing deliverables, timelines, and workflows;
Liaise with freelance designers, copywriters, and communications consultants as needed. - Media Relations & Publicity – Build and maintain relationships with print, design, and production vendors;
Organize and maintain accessible promotional materials for print and digital use;
Support general communications initiatives as directed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of marketing or communications experience; nonprofit experience preferred
- Demonstrated project management experience (required)
- Graphic design experience a plus
- Proficiency with marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact), social media scheduling tools, and website CMS platforms (e.g., Word Press)
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva and Adobe products
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Familiarity with Jewish culture, holidays, and community structures is a plus
- Preferred:
Familiarity with Holocaust pedagogy, trauma‑informed teaching, and anti‑bias education frameworks - Experience with evaluation tools and data collection
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms for program delivery and content development
- This role is based on-site with occasional evening and weekend hours required.
- Some travel for conferences, outreach, and partner events may be necessary.
