Board Member | Activate Missouri

Activate Missouri is seeking passionate, mission-aligned leaders to join our Board of Directors.

Activate MO is a statewide nonprofit organization committed to empowering families, strengthening educational opportunity, and advancing policies that put students first across Missouri. In 2025, Activate MO was selected as Missouri’s newest Educational Assistance Organization (EAO) under the MO Scholars program — a major milestone that expands our ability to serve families and steward scholarship funds responsibly across the state.

As we enter this next chapter of growth and impact, we are seeking board members who are excited to help guide a dynamic and expanding organization.

• Have experience working with or serving on nonprofit organizations
• Believe deeply in educational opportunity and family empowerment
• Value strong governance, transparency, and strategic growth
• Are excited to support a growing statewide organization
• Background in finance, accounting, or audit
• Experience with nonprofit financial oversight or budget review
• Legal, policy, or legislative experience
• Fundraising or philanthropic network connections

• Attend quarterly board meetings (currently held quarterly, with occasional committee meetings as needed)
• Provide fiduciary oversight and strategic guidance
• Support long‑term sustainability and growth
• Serve as ambassadors for the organization

Estimated commitment:
Approximately 20 hours per quarter.

This is a volunteer board position.
