Job Objective
This position will assist with the delivery of The Salvation Army music and gospel arts programming throughout the Division while gaining experience in the development and implementation of music and gospel arts programs.
Essential Functions- Assist with the department operations as directed
- Assist with planning, preparation and operation of summer music camp
- Teach at the Music Conservatory, Music & Gospel Arts Institute, Corps Vacation Bible School
- Share the value of music to the mission to groups as directed
- Education: Minimum one year post-secondary education in music
- Experience: Prior experience working with children in a leadership role
- Certifications/Licenses: None
- Skills/Abilities:
- A Central Territory Salvationist in good standing
- Ability to lead a band or choir preferred
- Advanced knowledge of music theory and instrumental/vocal technique
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical RequirementsInclude sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting on an intermittent or occasional basis; grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 25 lbs.; reaching overhead. TravelLocally and throughout the Division
DrivingMust possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
Working ConditionsWork is generally performed in an office setting, camp and corps locations
