Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing customized care strategies
  • Identifying and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses in partnership with physicians or independently (according to your credentials)
  • Providing education to patients and families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
  • Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by the scope of your practice
  • Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic disease management
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive and seamless patient care
  • Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications and Education
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Required Credentials
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Missouri
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty credential
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to acquire within 90 days)
