System Float Pool Nursing Assistant

Job Description

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great entry‑level position with on‑the‑job training available for applicants who are interested in the healthcare field but do not yet hold specific certifications. It is also an excellent opportunity for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) looking for a supportive workplace to call home.

You will help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. Help ensure our vision to be, “The Best Place to Get Care. The Best Place to Give Care”.

Part Time Nights: 6:45p.m.–7:15a.m., 2 shifts per week. Floats between all metro locations:
Saint Luke’s Plaza, East, North, South, &Smithville.

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Assists with activities of daily living and care, such as bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
• Anticipates the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.

• Applicable
  
  Experience:
  
  Less than 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• RQI – Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), Mandt Certified – Various.
• Full Time Night (United States of America).
