RN - CVOR

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM. No on-call required.

The Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Manager/Administrator and is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting. This includes the nursing processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across various age groups, from neonates to older adults. The RN coordinates patient care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist while guiding and directing the OR technician and other personnel, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.

• Provide peri-operative care by assessing patient needs and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to coordinate patient care.
• Direct and guide the OR technician and ancillary staff to maintain efficient operation.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
• Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

• Current nursing license valid for practice in the state.
• Completion of Basic Pharmacology and Basic Rhythm Interpretation required.
• Verification of education and previous nursing experience may be necessary.
