Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, supporting the center physician’s standing orders and facilitating donor transport to emergency care.
• Provide guidance to donors on unacceptable findings and medical or technical issues in coordination with the center physician or medical affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluations with occupational health/ER as required.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
• Follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities at the center level.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state where duties are performed: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience.

Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44
