Job Description
The LDRP Float Pool Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to obstetrical patients across designated Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby (Postpartum) units. This role requires a highly adaptable nurse who can seamlessly transition between care settings, supporting fluctuating patient volumes, staffing needs, and operational priorities while maintaining exceptional clinical outcomes and patient experiences.
The LDRP Float Pool RN functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team and demonstrates advanced clinical judgment in caring for patients throughout the perinatal continuum, including laboring patients, postpartum mothers, newborns, and families.
Float Pool Responsibilities- Demonstrates competency to provide care across assigned Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.
- Flexes between units, facilities, and patient populations based on organizational needs and staffing demands.
- Quickly acclimates to varying workflows, staffing models, and unit cultures while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Collaborates effectively with physicians, certified nurse midwives, neonatal teams, anesthesia providers, lactation consultants, and other interdisciplinary partners.
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for peers while promoting teamwork and patient-centered care.
- 7a-7p; 36 hours/week
- Flexible Self Scheduling with 1 On-Call Shift per 6 wk Schedule
- Weekend and Holiday Commitment
Applicable
Experience:
- 2 years Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics
- Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree
