Job Description

The UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program invites applicants to apply for a Clinical Adjunct Faculty position. Our Clinical Adjunct faculty are valuable members of our nursing program team. They are responsible for facilitating student learning in a variety of clinical care areas, collaborating with department faculty, and working with nursing unit staff and patients to assure the safety and quality of our program clinical coursework.

• Fundamentals of Nursing Lab and Clinical
• Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 Lab
• Adult Health I & 2 Clinical
• Pediatrics Clinical
• OB Clinical
• Mental Health Clinical
• Critical Care Clinical

Clinical rotations and days vary depending on course assignment and clinical placement availability with our clinical partners.

This is a part‑time, non‑benefit academic position.

• Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with 5 years of clinical experience. Those with a BSN will be required to attend the Clinical Faculty Academy at no cost.
• Unencumbered RN License in Missouri or a multi‑state license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification for the Health Care Provider.
• Experience in the clinical area of interest is required.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
