Nursing Assistant

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri seeks a Nursing Assistant. Candidates may be an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a nursing assistant, a patient care tech, or someone interested in becoming a nursing assistant. Those without certification or experience will receive 6 weeks of full‑time on‑the‑job training before commencing a full‑time day shift with self‑scheduling flexibility.

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
• Anticipate patients’ family needs proactively.
• Individualize and modify care according to patient needs.
• Collaborate with other health‑care team members to enhance patient care.
• Schedule:
  
  full‑time day shift with flexibility through self‑scheduling after training.

• 6‑week full‑time on‑the‑job training for non‑CNA or inexperienced candidates.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or willingness to obtain certification.
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Team‑oriented, eager to expand skills, and strong attention to detail.
