CVICU Nursing Assistant

Overview

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. We offer full‑time day shift work with self‑scheduling flexibility and 6 weeks of on‑the‑job training for candidates without certification or experience. After training, you will work full time under the direction of an RN or LPN, helping improve patient throughput and enhancing the patient experience.

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN or LPN supervision
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning
• Anticipate patient and family needs proactively
• Individualize and modify care based on patient needs
• Collaborate with other health‑care team members to enhance patient care
• Maintain strong communication and time‑management skills

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant experience; candidates with less than one year experience and those with no certification will receive on‑the‑job training
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Team‑oriented, eager to expand skills, strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and time‑management abilities
