Under general direction of the Supervisor and the direct supervision of a registered nurse or LPN, administers patient care and related activities, services and/or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for patients. Delivery of patient care includes data collection, documentation, communication and implementation of patient care interventions in accordance with state Nursing Practice Acts and department standards.

PRN positions offer flexibility in scheduling and can be discussed with the supervisor to best meet the needs of the employee and organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification required.

• Three months experience as a nursing assistant or as a nursing student who has completed a fundamentals of nursing course at an accredited school of nursing. Prior hospital experience preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to achieve and maintain BLS certification required.
