Overview

The Spine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will collaborate closely with pediatric orthopedic surgeons and a multidisciplinary spine team to provide comprehensive care for patients with both general orthopedic and spinal conditions. Responsibilities include the evaluation and management of a broad range of orthopedic diagnoses, assessment and treatment of spinal deformities, management of early-onset scoliosis with bracing, and coordination and evaluation of preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing spine deformity correction.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly specialized team dedicated to delivering exceptional, family-centered care to children with complex orthopedic and spinal conditions.

Advanced Practice Provider II (APP-II) provides proficient, comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. An APP II obtains a comprehensive health history; performs physical examination; formulates a plan of care and treatment; prescribes/performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and procedures; and participates in patient and family education.

Each APP-II demonstrates professional leadership and participates in evidenced-based practice, quality improvement, and/or research activities, and organizational development.
