Schedule:
Wednesday - Friday Overnights, 7:30pm-8:00am.
As a Registered Nurse (Float) at Royal Oaks Hospital, you’ll play a key role in providing safe, high-quality care to children and teens working toward emotional and behavioral stability. You’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team that values collaboration, compassion, and clinical excellence—helping each patient move toward hope and healing.
This position is based at Royal Oaks Hospital, a subsidiary of Compass Health Network. Key Responsibilities- Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered nursing care for children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate individualized care
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
- Mentor and support new nursing team members to promote professional growth
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education efforts
- Associate’s degree in nursing required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
- At least one year of psychiatric experience preferred
- RN or GN license required; must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation
- Are passionate about supporting children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges
- Communicate calmly and effectively, even in stressful situations
- Value teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary setting
- Are motivated to provide compassionate, evidence-based care
