The Advance Practice Nurse is a registered nurse who provides a primary level of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide care to a specific patient population. Maintains an advanced knowledge base and skill in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical/psychosocial assessment, and management of health and illness in the care of individuals.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities
- Master of Science in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing
- Maintain current license as a registered professional nurse in Missouri, Graduation and certification for Nurse Practitioner program; must maintain active certification
- Certification in specialty as approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing for Advanced Practice may be required.
- Holds current Collaborative Practice Arrangement with the organization as a provider
- Current BCLS verification
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of specialty practice
- Demonstrates leadership ability
- 3-5 years clinical experience
