Float Director of Nursing (Float DON)

We are seeking an experienced and flexible Float Director of Nursing (Float DON) to provide clinical leadership and support across our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) portfolio. The Float DON will step into leadership roles at various facilities during times of transition, vacancy, or leave, ensuring continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This is a dynamic, travel-based role ideal for a confident nursing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as interim DON at assigned SNF facilities
• Lead and support nursing teams to maintain high-quality care standards
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
• Implement and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
• Provide mentorship and stabilization during leadership transitions
• Collaborate with facility administrators and interdisciplinary teams

Float DON

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license (multi-state or state-specific as required)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Director of Nursing in a SNF/LTC setting
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support clinical teams
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations (CMS, OSHA, etc.)
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed
