his is a great opportunity for an RN looking for a new challenge in procedural nursing - apheresis experience not required!

The Apheresis Unit is a 9-bed unit located in the Therapeutic Blood Treatment Center on the ground floor of the Main Hospital. We perform photopheresis procedures, cell collections, cellular therapy infusions, and patient educations.

The BMT Apheresis department collaborates with the physicians and nurse practitioners of the Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics department, the staff of the inpatient BMT unit, and Outpatient BMT Clinic, and an ever-expanding circle of specialties as our offerings of CAR-T therapy grows.

Our nursing staff come from many different nursing backgrounds, and each one brings their unique expertise to build a strong and supportive unit. The unit is guided by a Nursing Supervisor with many years of Apheresis experience. Nurses in our unit have autonomy but are very supportive of each other when needed.

Nurses are usually assigned 1:1 or 1:2, caring for one to three patients a day.
