Registered Nurse – Psychiatric

$1836.00/week –

Job Summary:

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients in a mental health setting. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment for patients with behavioral health needs in a hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental health status through thorough histories, behavioral observations, and diagnostic tools.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans targeting psychiatric and behavioral health issues.
• Administer psychiatric medications, monitor effects, and manage adverse reactions.
• Respond promptly to psychiatric crises, using de-escalation techniques and short-term intervention.
• Build trust with patients using therapeutic communication, active listening, and empathy.
• Document patient progress, vital signs, and medication responses accurately in Meditech system.

Qualifications:

• Active BLS and CPI certifications required.
• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience.
• Ability to perform crisis intervention and manage acute psychiatric emergencies.
• Demonstrated competence in medication management and mental health assessments.
• Strong therapeutic communication skills with patients of diverse backgrounds.
