OverviewThe Clinical Professional Development Practitioner (CPDP) serves as a professional development expert focused on the learning needs of new team members, experienced staff, and students. Collaborating with department leadership, staff, and interdepartmental groups, the CPDP evaluates learning needs and implements evidence-based education plans to ensure safe, competent, high-quality care for patients and families within a defined specialty or service line (e.g., Critical Care, Perioperative Services, Med/Surg, Ambulatory, etc.).
In addition to supporting the educational and professional development needs of their assigned departments, the CPDP maintains clinical expertise by providing direct patient care.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
- Develops, implements and evaluates clinical education strategies across assigned departments.
- Serves as a professional development expert focused on the learning needs of new team members, experienced staff, and students.
- Facilitates onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, transfers, and travelers within assigned departments.
- Provides direct patient care that promotes optimal patient outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree BSN Required and 3-5 years experience Clinical nursing experience in a relevant specialty. Clinical education, professional development, and/or; leadership experience preferred.
or - Master's Degree Preferred and 3-5 years experience. A Master's degree in nursing may be accepted in lieu of a BSN.
- One of the following:
- Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri
- Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO required upon hire
- Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provide Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
- Specialty Certification (within two years of hire date) Required
