Job Description:

This role involves working in the 4 North Cardiac Telemetry unit, where the nurse will provide patient care, interpret EKGs and telemetry strips, and perform a range of cardiac-related procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care in a 29-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Conduct procedures like IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, Foley insertions, and care for temporary pacemakers.

Requirements:

• Experience with cardiac telemetry or PCU/ICU, including post cardiac procedural care.
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
