Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Overview

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is hiring an operating room nurse for the cardiac operating videoort (CVOR) team. This full‑time day position includes call with a 30‑minute response time and offers a dynamic environment focused on forward‑thinking cardiac procedures, including vascular, thoracic, open heart, and heart transplant surgeries.

• Circulate the OR during all major cardiac procedures.
• Function independently and manage the entire nursing process.
• Coordinate care for patients with the multidisciplinary team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, identify hospital resources, and serve as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrate positive leadership within the unit or department.
• Advocate for patients, maintaining a patient‑centered approach and speaking up within scope of practice.

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a registered nurse (MO) with a National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) credential.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and willingness to go above and beyond for patients, families, and peers.
• Ability to stay positive in a fast‑paced, unpredictable, changing environment.
