Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular patients in outpatient procedural areas, focusing on recovery and monitoring post-interventional procedures. This role involves assessing and maintaining patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Admit patients for catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures by taking comprehensive histories.
• Start IVs and prepare patients for moderate sedation with precise monitoring.
• Recover patients post-procedure, ensuring hemodynamic stability and safety.
• Assess access sites, including groin and wrist, for bleeding or complications, and manage accordingly.
• Monitor patients continuously, recognizing signs of distress or adverse reactions.
• Provide education to patients regarding post-procedure care and access site management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiovascular experience.
• Ability to handle groin and wrist access sites, including assessment and pressure application.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong patient assessment skills and ability to monitor multiple patients simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
