Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a telemetry unit to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves monitoring cardiac patients, interpreting telemetry data, and delivering high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor telemetry strips and interpret EKGs to detect cardiac events.
• Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Perform procedures such as IV insertions, NGT placement, chest tube maintenance, and Foley insertions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech system and communicate effectively with team.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Kansas or Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and EKGs.
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care such as catheterizations and pacemaker placements.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
