Why Join UMKC Student Health Services?

Our nurses have the opportunity to practice across the continuum of ambulatory care - from triage and direct clinical nursing to preventive health, immunization, student education, care coordination, and campus health initiatives. As part of a small interdisciplinary team, the RN has an active voice in improving clinical workflows and developing programs that directly affect the health, well-being, and academic success of UMKC students.

Job Description Position Summary

UMKC Student Health Services is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary outpatient health care team. The RN works closely with nurse practitioners, medical assistants, administrative staff, and campus and community partners to provide timely, evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care. The position also plays an important role in communicable disease prevention and response, tuberculosis and immunization compliance, clinical quality improvement, supply and vaccine management, and outreach initiatives that promote student well-being.

This position is well suited for an RN who enjoys developing meaningful relationships with patients, working collaboratively within a small clinical team, practicing with a high degree of professional judgment, and contributing to both individual patient care and the health of the broader campus community.
