American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Cerner charting experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details- Combined adult/pediatric General Emergency Department in a Level II Trauma Center
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Evening shift, 3x12 hours, 14:45 to 03:15
- Every other weekend required, including at least 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays
- No block scheduling
- Candidates may float to all competent units within the facility
- 13-week assignment
- Active MO RN license or Compact license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED/ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum 2 years experience may be considered in lieu)
- Cerner charting system experience required, no exceptions
- Current certifications required (no pending): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- CPI certification required starting January 2026
- Must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher, including lethal rhythm identification
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Trauma Level I and teaching/community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with pediatric and adult ED patient populations including trauma, cardiac, psychiatric, and respiratory emergencies
- At least one professional reference required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security card required for consideration
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and pediatric emergencies
- Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG/ECG interpretation, splinting, and administration of emergency medications
- Manage patients requiring procedural sedation, arterial line care, and cardiac monitoring
- Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified center
- Required to complete CEUs promptly: 4 stroke, 8 trauma, and 4 cardiac CEUs for ED placement
- Must complete all assigned Health Stream training modules on time throughout the assignment
- Modules are non-billable, average 8 hours, and must be completed prior to start
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
- Candidates must have been separated from prior employment at this facility for at least one year to be eligible for rehire
