Registered Nurse – Pulmonary Stepdown
Schedule
8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Orientation: 12 hours.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 13 weeks.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience.
- Strong ventilator and ventilator-trach management experience required.
- Preferred: prior charge experience and Trauma Level I exposure.
- Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
- Charting system:
Epic (training required).
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring pulmonary stepdown or intermediate care.
- Manage ventilators and tracheostomies, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor telemetry and assist with dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
- Administer treatments including blood products and medications as per protocols.
- Participate in emergency interventions as needed.
- Engage in patient education regarding their care and conditions.
Compliance / Notes
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). Maximum 7 days of request time off must be finalized at submission.
