American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 6W Ortho/Neuro/Transplant Nephrology unit requiring MO or compact RN license and med/surg nephrology experience.

• 20-bed Ortho/Neuro unit with transplant nephrology patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Unit staffed with a unit secretary during the day, PCTs, and a unit educator
• Meditech documentation system used
• Med/surg care provided on the unit; dialysis performed off-unit
• 3 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call requirements
• Agency/contract nurses float first per unit policy
• 13-week assignment on a 7A-7P shift schedule
• Located at a Level 1 trauma hospital

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ADN required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with nephrology, kidney transplants, renal care, or dialysis preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Provide med/surg nursing care on a unit specializing in ortho, neuro, and transplant nephrology patients
• Virtual nurse supports patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on other patients
• Unit recognized with a 'We show up' teamwork award
• Royal blue scrubs required; black scrub pants permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
