Description:
Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs. Nurses will float to various units including Med Surg, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, and Medicine. Some floors are designated for primary nursing. Nurses are expected to float shift to shift to all inpatient areas excluding specific departments. Strong nurses with a minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience are essential.
Ratios for patient assignments will range from 1:4 to 1:6. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Previous experience handling telemetry patients is preferred. Nurses should possess skills in the administration of chemotherapy and cardiac telemetry. Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips is expected. Essential patient populations include adults and geriatrics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is necessary for patient care.
The role demands the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Flexibility and strong critical thinking skills are key for success in this position. Continuous professional development and staying current with best practices are encouraged.
