American Traveler is hiring a Stroke & Telemetry PCU RN for a night shift seasonal travel assignment requiring NIHSS and cardiac drip experience.

• Stroke & Brain unit within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• 16-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Patient population includes telemetry and stroke patients
• Uses Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady lift, telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, and Doppler equipment
• Meditech documentation system used
• Night shift schedule, 7P-7A
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week including 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating required to areas where competency has been demonstrated

• Active RN license (MO or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry/PCU specialty required
• Cardiac drip, telemetry, and neurology experience required
• Stroke experience required
• Basic dysrhythmia recognition skills required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Provide nursing care for stroke and telemetry patients on a progressive care unit
• Navy blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• High employee engagement reported on this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements
• First-time travelers may be considered
