American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho/Trauma unit position requiring night shift availability and prior ortho or trauma experience.

• 23-bed Ortho/Trauma unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Unit supported by Unit Secretary and PCTs
• Treats post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients, trauma patients, and occasional neuro overflow cases
• Uses traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Documentation via Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts with three weekend shifts per schedule period
• Contract staff float first, with floating limited to other Med/Surg level units including General MS, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Ortho experience required
• Telemetry and NIH Stroke experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements

• Perform bedside shift report and hourly rounding as part of patient care routine
• Required to wear navy scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
