Laboratory Technician - Quality Control

Job Description

This position involves gathering and testing samples within a specified timeframe, entering results into SAP, and storing retains as required. You will maintain comprehensive, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy and record-keeping procedures. Additionally, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for both the laboratory environment and testing equipment, assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, and support customer pre-ship sample order requests.

Responsibilities

+ Gather and test samples within expected time frames.

+ Enter test results into SAP and store retains as required.

+ Maintain complete, accurate, and legible test records.

+ Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks for the laboratory and equipment.

+ Assist with minor laboratory equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

+ Prepare and ship samples for external laboratory testing.

+ Conduct testing and analysis for special projects and nonconforming product investigations.

+ Assist with maintaining and updating laboratory procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

+ Entry-level or new graduates are welcome.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Ability to multitask.

+ Familiarity with quality control and laboratory processes.

+ Understanding of GMP, quality assurance, chemistry, biology, titration, viscosity, pH, HPLC, GCMS.

+ Strong analytical and mathematical skills.

+ Strong computer skills with word processing, database, and spreadsheet experience.

+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

+ Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion.

+ Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

+

Experience with wet chemistry and various laboratory instrumentation such as Braebender, Anton Paar, Variomax, and Bruker NIR.

+ Familiarity with general lab tasks such as pH measurement, moisture balance, analytical balances, pipettes, volumetric measures, ovens, stir plates, mixers, and warming plates.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
