Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. The ASM demonstrates leadership by maximizing profits, sales, and the customer service experience, contributing a significant portion of store sales and achieving the store’s monthly sales plan. The ASM hires, trains, and manages store associates to meet sales and profit goals, models customer service standards, and ensures excellent visual presentation and housekeeping while following operational guidelines and loss control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and exceed individual productivity and sales goals.
  • Assist in achieving and exceeding the store’s productivity and sales goals.
  • Model exceptional customer service, coaching staff on client development.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and retain quality sales associates.
  • Evaluate associate performance against goals.
  • Maintain high visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures, paperwork reconciliation, and other operational tasks.
  • Protect store assets and inventory; report potential shrinkage.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Manage client book and clienteling.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in luxury retail management.
  • Full understanding of specialty retail, including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations.
  • Computer skills: retail point of sale system, Word, Excel, and email.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, outgoing, high‑energy personality with entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Mentor and leader to staff, developing strengths and identifying opportunities.
  • Trainer capable of teaching customer service, selling, and operations.
