We’re hiring an experienced IT Account Manager to grow our relationships with current customers as well as lead new business development efforts in the Kansas City market. This role is designed for a proven IT staffing sales professional who excels at opening new doors, growing existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth from net-new accounts.
As an experienced contributor, you will own the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and discovery through account expansion—while partnering closely with recruiters and marketing to deliver high-impact staffing solutions. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful influence on market strategy and long‑term growth.
What You’ll Do- Driving business development with a primary focus on existing client engagement and new client development
- Build and execute a territory-based sales strategy for the Kansas City market and surrounding areas
- Conduct consistent outbound prospecting through calls, emails, Linked In and networking
- Lead discovery meetings with hiring managers, IT leaders, and procurement stakeholders
- Position Capstone IT as a strategic partner through consultative selling
- Develop and grow accounts from initial placement through long‑term partnership
- Collaborate with recruiting leadership to align talent strategy with client needs
- Partner with marketing on targeted campaigns, account‑based outreach and events
- Own pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM system
- Negotiate terms, manage offer processes and support successful placement execution
- Stay informed on market trends, client buying behaviors and competitive landscape
- Serve as a senior ambassador of Capstone’s values in the Kansas City market
- 3+ years of experience in IT staffing sales or account management, with an emphasis on previous new business development
- An open mind to selling services beyond IT Staffing as we have two divisions, IT Solutions ( and )

- Strong understanding of IT roles and technologies, including
- Comfort leading executive‑level and technical sales conversations
- Proven ability to run a disciplined, metrics‑driven sales process
- Experience working closely with recruiters to deliver high‑quality talent solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to operate independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
