We are seeking a motivated Assistant Geologist to support a variety of environmental projects for federal, state, local, and commercial clients. This role offers hands‑on field experience, technical development, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental remediation and investigation work.

Key Responsibilities- Assist with field activities including:
- Soil logging and classification
- Air monitoring during investigation and remediation
- Installation of groundwater monitoring wells
- Collection of soil and groundwater samples
- Soil sampling for physical testing
- Support soil and groundwater data assessment and compilation
- Assist in developing soil and groundwater sampling plans
- Contribute to proposal preparation and technical report writing
- Coordinate laboratory analysis for environmental samples
- Support scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
- Assist with site remediation planning and implementation
- Perform on-site monitoring to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local permits
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related Environmental discipline
- Legally authorized to work permanently without sponsorship
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain company driving privileges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative problem‑solving ability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Related environmental consulting experience
- Hazardous site assessment experience (Phase I, Phase II, remediation)
- Knowledge of:
- Unified Soil Classification System
- Glacial deposits and hydrogeology
- Groundwater sampling techniques
- OSHA, CERCLA, and remedial design
- Familiarity with ArcGIS, Rock Ware, and Adobe Illustrator
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Campus or community involvement demonstrating leadership
