Position: Operations Associate 2 - Safety, Security & Custodial

Operations Associate 2 - Safety, Security & Custodial

The job of Operations Associate 2 - Safety, Security & Custodial is done for the purpose of providing all fiscal operational processes for Safety and Security ($5.3m annual budget); assisting all school sites with safety and security processes, inventory, and personnel; managing a variety of security personnel processes; assigning compensation for all security staff; working with Junior Police Academy; overseeing security uniform purchases;

managing all permit processes for security personnel; managing grant fund projects; maintaining all District security camera processes; assigning security alarm codes; visiting all District sites to update security processes; assisting help desk and maintenance department; overseeing, daily, additional complex variety of District Security processes.

Evaluates security activities/processes, and assigned personnel (e.g., reviewing budget; visiting all District sites regularly; procuring necessary inventory; researching, viewing, and archiving security camera footage, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring functions are performed efficiently and effectively, in compliance with site requirements and established standards.

Inspects security camera footage; inventory of needed supplies; invoices (e.g., overseeing security processes at all District sites, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that sites are suitable for safe operations and identifying necessary repairs to facilities and/or equipment; ensuring that all safety and security processes and equipment are operational, according to District regulations.

Oversees processes and procedures for security (e.g., budget needs and balances, visitor management system and use, security camera system and use, alarm monitoring system and use, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring security; minimizing property damage, equipment loss, and potential liability, and ensuring only authorized staff have access.

Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars (e.g., meeting with administration, District site personnel, employees, law enforcement partners; travels to sites to train new staff; trains staff during Professional Development; views online training for new technology, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and gathering needed information to develop and maintain District security operations.

Prepares written materials (e.g., budget, training materials, training registration, meeting notes, grants, invoice reconciliation, etc.) for the purpose of providing necessary preparation and oversight for optimal security operational processes in the District.

Presents safety and security policies and enforcement procedures to students, staff, and visitors (e.g., explaining all security processes and equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring their understanding of such information and the potential consequences of violation.

Provides necessary communication (e.g., answers continual daily requests for assistance with security technology by phone, computer, and in person) to provide information and direction regarding daily activities and safety issues.

Requisition equipment, supplies, and materials (e.g., radios; visitor management system equipment; uniforms; training materials; office supplies; technology equipment, etc.) to maintain the availability of required inventory for safety and security personnel and processes.

Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g., facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action or notifying appropriate personnel for resolution.

Responds to inquiries from staff, students, parents, vendors, administration, and visitors for the purpose of providing information, direction, and taking appropriate action.

Reviews all safety and security processes and the inventory needed district-wide for safety and security (e.g., providing budgetary allocations for personnel, processes, equipment, etc.) to ensure effective district-wide safety and security.

Supervises the updating of safety alarms, security codes, camera systems, and security personnel for the purpose of ensuring satisfactory District security operations.

Supports all District staff and buildings (e.g. Answers inquiries about multiple issues/subjects from multiple people daily. Responds to requests from every building in the district, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring optimal district-wide safety/security operations.

Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., search of video camera footage to identify and solve crimes;
Search of Power School to determine parents/addresses/contact information in a crisis; securing emergency call-outs for issues in buildings, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective District security and custodial operation at all District sites.

Knowledge is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.…
