* Job Duties:

*** Responsible for the coordination and control of inmate security and activities in a designated area within the detention center.
* Responsible for implementing policies and procedures; monitoring the performance of Corrections Officers; and recommending appropriate disciplinary actions; remaining alert to inmate and/or staff concerns and resolving those issues within the associate's range of authority.
* Responsible for reviewing and completing all documentation involving floor operations and associates in an assigned area; training new Corrections Officers to develop the skills of established officers; evaluating the job performance of Probationary Corrections Officers

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** High School Diploma or its equivalent.
* Three years of experience working in Corrections or Law Enforcement.
* Completed and passed the Jail Academy Exam.
* Passed and maintained firearms qualification.
* Received at least a "Meets Expectations" current performance evaluation.
* Must be at least 20 years old.
* Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
* Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence and be available to work weekends and evenings.
* Must possess/maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver's License.
* Must submit to and pass a police background check, drug screen, motor vehicle record check.
