This is a part-time, in-house proprietary security position. Our officers are assigned to a consistent site and are part of a long-term team — not moved from contract to contract. You’ll work with company leadership, operate with professional standards, and be supported with the equipment and benefits needed to build a stable career.

• +$0.75/hour for evenings
• +$1.50/hour for overnights

The ideal candidate brings strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a calm, confident presence to the role. They are comfortable enforcing rules and local laws, responding to a range of incidents, and interacting professionally with tenants, employees, and the public. This person takes pride in upholding safety standards and protecting people, property, and reputation.

What you’ll do:

As a Security Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting the people, property, and operations of the World's Largest Underground Business Complex, Sub Tropolis. You’ll patrol designated areas, enforce company policies and local laws, respond to emergencies, and serve as a visible, trusted presence for tenants, employees, and guests. From incident response to routine inspections, you’ll contribute to a culture of accountability, professionalism, and operational readiness.

Safety & Security Operations

• Maintain a presence in the Security Command Center, speaking with visitors, answering phones, dispatching other personnel, monitoring alarms, and observing the camera system
• Enforce company regulations, municipal ordinances, and state/federal laws under the authority granted by the KCPD Private Officers Licensing Unit
• Respond to incidents involving trespassing, disturbances, motor vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies with professionalism and care
• Conduct routine inspections of lighting, fire protection systems, and other critical safety infrastructure

Customer Service & Incident Response

• Serve as a courteous and helpful presence to employees, tenants, and visitors, offering assistance, directions, or escorts as needed
